The story takes place in the early 1990s when Mrs. Ngoc returns to her hometown to sell the old house left by her father with her brother, Mr. Nga. In the early days of living in the old house, they encounter many strange phenomena. The mysterious occurrences and the villagers’ rumors about the house being haunted by the spirit of Miss Trinh make potential buyers turn away. The plot truly begins when Mrs. Mai Lien, Mr. Nga’s wife, dies under mysterious circumstances, and Betty, Mrs. Ngoc’s granddaughter who comes back to the village with her, goes missing. Everything gradually reveals intriguing details, building a continuous suspense that lasts until the end of the film.
